The Parish Councils Airport Association have responded to the consultation as follows:-
Question 7:
Cleeve Parish Council agree that there should be a mandatory requirement for sellers and estate agents to provide comprehensive upfront information on the property and immediate location. This should include how close the property is situated to an airport. The information should include the flight paths with noise contours and if the dwelling has received any form of noise mitigation such as grants for acoustic insulation from an airport. The night flight regime should be made known and that late flights are regularly given dispensations. The definition of the night hours should be included.
It should include if the property is situated close to a main bus route for an airport. This would highlight the possibility of passengers parking for the airport being close to the property. There is lots of anti social behaviour connected with airport car parking next to dwellings such as litter, car lights at night, noise of slamming doors etc.
The air quality of the area should also should be a requirement.
Question 8:
Cleeve Parish Council Council agree that property searches with a report written on the condition of the property should be undertaken. If the dwelling has received mitigation for noise, the report should ensure that the noise received within the dwelling is equal to the noise contour.
