Andy Warren
Who are we?
Ronnie Morley – Ronnie joined the Parish Council in May 2018. She has lived in Cleeve on three separate occasions, spending a total of 40 years in the village. Now medically retired, Ronnie had a 28-year career working with children and running parent groups in nursery education and also worked locally as a childminder for seven years.
She is the joint captain of the Cleeve Cameos skittle team and remains actively involved in community life. Her particular interests on the Parish Council include reducing the village speed limit, addressing parking issues, and supporting the newly established community orchard.
Colin Knowles – Colin worked as an IT specialist at the University of Bristol for 20 years before moving to Cleeve on his retirement in 2017. He is a founder member of Cleeve Speedwatch and also acts as Chair for the CleeveCommunity2050 group. He is an enthusiastic climber, a local activist for the British Mountaineering Council, and loves wildlife and nature.
Hilary Burn – Hilary has been on the council since 1998 and has put an incredible amount of time in to the PC helping to push back against Bristol Airport expansion plans, and has been Chair of the Parish Council Airport Association. Hilary has lived in Cleeve since 1984 and is very interested in climate change and stopping the airport from expanding -environmentalist activist. Hilary strongly believes we should leave the environment in a better state then we find it in for the next generation. Hilary takes a keen interest in Goblin Combe and the surrounding area.
Marianne Pitman – Marianne has been on the council for 20 years. She lived in Cleeve until she was seven because her family ran the butchers (now the wool shop). Marianne moved back in 1993. She is the representative for Cleeve PC on the Yatton Charities committee, she is also Chair of Yatton Local History Society.
Carol Molloy – Carol has lived in Cleeve for the past 35 years and enjoys participating in village events. Before retiring she worked for a local estate agent for some 20 years so has good knowledge of the area. She volunteers at a local charity shop.
Andy Warren – Clerk – Andy became Parish Clerk in August 2020. Having spent 36 years with NatWest in Cardiff, Bristol and, finally North Devon, Andy then embarked on a career change becoming Practice Business Manager for a Medical Group in Mid Devon. For 6 years until 2020 Andy worked as a Mortgage Adviser. He is also Parish Clerk for Brockley.
Andy is married and has lived with his wife in Yatton since 2011. He is a former Yatton Parish Councillor and, like Marianne, is a committee member of Yatton Local History Society.
